Keeper of the Tides — Featured on the Front Page of the Gloucester Daily Times
A special moment for Atlantis and The Tidekeepers Foundation!
I am deeply honored to have my work featured on the front page of the Gloucester Daily Times, under the beautiful headline “Keeper of the Tides.”
The article, “Mermaid statue to be installed in Manchester creek,” shares the story of Atlantis, my monumental mermaid sculpture, and the vision behind The Tidekeepers Foundation, the nonprofit organization I founded to reconnect people with nature and the rhythms of Mother Ocean through public art.
Atlantis is more than a sculpture. She represents the profound connection between humanity and the natural world, a reminder of our belonging to the ocean and the responsibility we share in protecting it.
Designed to interact with the changing tides, Atlantis will become part of the coastal landscape of Manchester-by-the-Sea, revealing different aspects of herself as the water rises and falls.
Seeing this journey recognized on the front page of our local newspaper is a meaningful milestone, not only for me as an artist, but for everyone who believes in the power of art to inspire connection, awareness, and a deeper relationship with our planet.
