Varun

Varun

Varun stands as my most recent commissioned masterpiece—a tribute to the venerable Varuna, revered as the Indian, Buddhist, and Japanese deity reigning over the vast expanses of the ocean and the skies.

This unique creation, Varun, embodies the essence of a merman, brought to life through the infusion of crystal-clear moon water. A meticulous infusion of the seven chakras courses through his form, each one activated to resonate harmoniously within his being.

Noteworthy details adorn his celestial existence. A clockwise spiral on his forehead suggests a journey from a distant realm, while atop his head, the crown chakra emanates a radiant presence, symbolizing his divine connection. Varun, the embodiment of cosmic energies and aquatic grace, is a testament to the fusion of artistic expression and spiritual reverence.

He clutches a lotus flower, a profound symbol intricately linked with Lord Varuna and imbued with multifaceted meanings. Beyond its divine association, the lotus epitomizes attributes such as strength, resilience, and rebirth. Emerging unsullied from the mud, these flowers gracefully unfold at dawn, only to retreat into murky waters at night—a poignant cycle mirroring life's challenges and triumphs. Beyond its physical journey, the lotus stands as a powerful emblem of purity, embodying the capacity to transcend adversity and emerge untarnished, much like its own ethereal bloom.
